Gleeds has been named as an awarded supplier on the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s (DESNZ) new Energy and Net Zero Professional Services (ENZPS) Framework.
Gleeds tendered for and won places on four of the £250 million Framework’s seven lots. Gleeds will now be available to provide expert strategy, design and delivery, and enterprise and innovation advice on projects in the Nuclear; Oil, Gas and Electricity; Emerging Technologies; and Industrial Transformation sectors for an initial term of two years, with the option to extend for a further two.
By appointing Gleeds to this collaborative framework, DESNZ gains access to the combined experience and expertise of the entire Energy team. Our depth of knowledge was a key factor in DESNZ’s decision to appoint us across these four key lots, as was our proven track record of working with the government on frameworks of similar scale and complexity. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to see the first projects under this new deal announced.”
Andy Ellis, Global Head of Energy, Gleeds
The ENZPS Framework will provide DESNZ and its Partner Organisations with a bespoke route to market for energy and net zero-specific professional services. Projects delivered under the agreement are expected to focus primarily on the UK, with limited requirements overseas.
Headed up by Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband MP, DESNZ is the government department responsible for building a green economy and a more efficient energy system. Some of its key aims are to fulfil the UK’s commitment to achieving clean power by 2030 and accelerating net zero, promote sustainable economic growth by creating an active industrial strategy, and advance energy security by establishing Great British Energy.
