At Gleeds we have a tremendous opportunity to create a positive effect through the projects and programmes we deliver. We’re helping clients to achieve their sustainability goals, maximise their social impact, while building healthier outcomes for all.

Gleeds understands the significant impact that can be created from our clients’ projects and programmes, when we work together across the supply chain.

The skills and knowledge we have across multiple sectors and geographies enable us to confidently navigate the social, environmental and economic complexities inherent in the built environment, made ever more challenging by the effects of climate change.

Working with some of the largest global organisations on their sustainability strategies, we take a strategic approach, building bespoke solutions. So, whether it’s a net zero carbon plan, sustainability taxonomy advice, policies or reporting, we guide our clients to achieve the best results.

Embedding social value from the start

In 2023 Gleeds successfully delivered £12.4m in social value*.

Our vision for social value is to build a culture that empowers our people to deliver authentic and positive change for society. Our social value strategy is formed of 4 pillars, underpinned by a continuous improvement through monitoring and reporting:

  • Tackling economic inequality
  • Fighting climate change
  • Providing equal opportunities
  • Improving health and wellbeing

At the start of every major project, we work with the client to establish their key social impact drivers, build them into the project plan, and action them throughout delivery.

Using our social value reporting platform, we capture data, analyse gaps and report against KPIs, providing customised reports to keep clients updated at key stages.

Building solid supplier relationships

At Gleeds, we set ourselves high standards, and expect the same from our suppliers. Our Supplier Code of Integrity and Business Ethics sits at the heart of this, and forms part of our procurement practices.

Our pre-assessed, agreed supplier list certifies that we work with partners who deliver reliable, high-quality services, whose social impact and environmental compliance has been evaluated and are best placed to support our business and sustainability goals.
