Education facilities currently contribute 37% of public sector building carbon dioxide emissions in the UK. Gleeds manages sustainability strategies and decarbonisation programmes on behalf of clients, across their entire education estate.
Our expertise in this area is bolstered by the broader role we play in delivering sector-wide decarbonisation initiatives. For instance, we have been chosen by the Department for Education (DfE) as a partner in developing its Net Zero Accelerator programme, which provides a ‘one-stop shop’ service for schools and colleges to fund and deliver carbon reduction and energy efficiency projects.
