We’re dedicated to creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment for those working for and with us, and positively impacting the lives of people in our communities.

Our people are Gleeds’ most valuable assets, and we’re committed to celebrating everyone’s unique talents and nurturing their wellbeing.

As a diverse and inclusive employer, we invest in the performance and development of our global teams and encourage them to give back through volunteering and educational outreach programmes.

Our social responsibility

It’s our responsibility as a business to consider the impact that our activities have on society. We’re proud to promote community initiatives, through a combination of local engagement and broader impact programmes. In 2023 the Gleeds Foundation was established, with £100,000 pledged to charities and good causes each year.

Working with the communities within which we operate is extremely important to Gleeds. It enables us to share the talent of our people with others, give and gain from work experience and help people develop to their full potential.

Fairness, inclusion and respect

Gleeds’ Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) strategy sets out our approach to diversity, equal opportunities and non-discrimination. We strive to apply an FIR ‘lens’ to all that we do and believe that in creating fair, inclusive and respectful environments, we all benefit from a more diverse culture and experience.

Championing excellence in our people, we encourage diversity of thought and talent through providing opportunities to enhance their growth and wellbeing.

Our FIR strategy is supported by a framework of policies, informed by listening to our employees. Employee champions and Allies groups bring about important cultural change – we’re proud to have Allies Groups representing Gender, Race, LGBTQ+, Diversability and Carers; all striving to actively promote and enhance the culture of inclusion through intentional, positive and conscious efforts.

Certified a Great Place to Work

Gleeds has been awarded a “Great Place to Work” certification from the global authority on workplace culture for the second year in a row.

Certification acknowledges employers who deliver a consistently positive employee experience. During the certification process, the Great Place to Work team captures valuable feedback using its research-driven Trust Index survey and details the programmes and practises that make workplaces unique.

This prestigious recognition is backed by anonymous feedback from our colleagues, validating our commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.  With 73% of employees reporting a consistently positive experience, it's clear that at Gleeds, we prioritise creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. We also received accreditations for the Best Workplace for Women, Best Workplace for Wellbeing and Best Workplace in Professional and Consulting Services in 2023.

Our people are our most important asset, and our success as a business relies on everyone enjoying what they do, having purpose in their work, and feeling like they belong.
