Gleeds has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing talent and supporting long-term professional growth.
The annual list, compiled by Great Place to Work®, celebrates organisations that place employee development at the heart of their culture. Only companies achieving the highest scores in Great Place to Work’s rigorous evaluation process earn Best Workplaces™ status. Gleeds is one of just 50 organisations to feature in the Super Large category, ranking at number 28 in the 2026 list, six places higher than in 2025.
To determine the rankings, Great Place to Work® assessed each organisation’s culture, benefits, leadership approach and development opportunities, alongside anonymous employee feedback. These insights were used to benchmark how well each company’s employee value proposition aligns with the lived experience of its workforce.
In Gleeds’ 2026 survey, 81% of employees said they feel they are offered the training and development they need to progress, up from 76% on last year’s results. The consultancy also continues to outperform the industry on Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) results, achieving an 85% pass rate.
I am thrilled to see Gleeds featured among the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development for a third year running. Our inclusion signifies our ongoing commitment to helping our teams progress, upskill, and achieve their personal goals. It’s gratifying to know that the time we put in to actively supporting every employee is paying off, creating a workplace where our staff feel valued, listened to and empowered to give their best to the organisation while pursuing their own professional growth.
Carol Davidson, People Development Director, Gleeds
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK, added: “Learning and development go beyond enabling people to do their jobs well today – they signal that employees matter and that their future within the organisation is taken seriously. When individuals can clearly see how they can grow and progress, they’re far more likely to feel motivated, engaged and committed.”
He continued: “A strong approach to development is inherently forward-looking… That’s why we’re so excited to reveal this year’s UK’s Best Workplaces for Development. Congratulations to Gleeds for being part of our 2026 list.”
