International construction and property consultancy Gleeds has announced it has been reappointed to Transport for Greater Manchester’s (TfGM) £120 million Transport Professional Services (TPS) Framework.

The four year framework comprises a comprehensive range of transport consultancy services spanning 16 strategic lots and covering everything from policy, strategy and business case development to transport systems, engineering and project cost management. Gleeds has been successful in securing places on lot 12 – Project and Programme Management, and lot 13 - Project Cost and Commercial Management.

The framework is intended to provide an efficient, quick and compliant procurement route to meet TfGM’s consultancy and advisory support needs as it looks to deliver the next phase of its Bee Network. As a supplier, Gleeds will play a crucial role in helping TfGM to realise its long-term plan of developing an integrated, modern and zero emission public transport network across the region by 2030. In addition, its services will also be available for use by a host of combined authorities and local councils in the north of England, as well as police forces and fire services.

We have been working with TfGM on the Professional Services framework for a number of years, so I’m pleased that Gleeds has once again been included on its latest incarnation. Securing positions on these two key lots demonstrates the confidence TfGM has in the multi-disciplinary capabilities of our team and our ability to actively contribute to the delivery of its vision for a resilient, accessible, and more sustainable transport system across Greater Manchester under its Transport Strategy 2040.

Paul Knighting, UK Head of Infrastructure, Gleeds

The successful bidders will be critical partners for the next phase of transport innovation in Greater Manchester that will see it become the first area outside London to connect every community with a low-fare, high use fully electric transport network with joined-up bike, bus, tram and train options by the end of the decade.
