Since 2020, Gleeds has been working with Mace and Arup as part of the UK Delivery Team (UKDT), supporting the Peruvian Government and Peru’s national infrastructure authority, Autoridad Nacional de Infraestructura (ANIN), in the reconstruction of critical public infrastructure across the country.

At the heart of this ambitious programme is the implementation of a bespoke Project Management Office (PMO) - a key enabler to effective delivery. To ensure the right solution, UKDT carried out a comprehensive maturity assessment, evaluating both people and processes. This informed the development of a tailored suite of systems designed to monitor and track progress, streamline communication, and provide a single source of data for all stakeholders.

The PMO has also played a pivotal role not only in strengthening programme governance transparency, but also in facilitating extensive knowledge transfer. By embedding processes and systems directly with the client team, the PMO has helped equip ANIN with the tools and expertise to manage similar programmes independently in the future.

The result is a more resilient, collaborative, and streamlined delivery model, with all 140 projects aligned to shared programme objectives.
