Michelle is responsible for shaping Gleeds’ global ESG agenda and brand narrative in line with our core business strategy. As well as building trust and strengthening brand presence, she sets environmental targets and social commitments, making sure climate matters and social value are ingrained in the Gleeds culture. Her leadership extends to chairing the Gleeds Foundation Steering Group, the ESG Steering Group, and serving on the global FIR (Fairness, Inclusion, and Respect) council.
Joining Gleeds in 2001, Michelle's journey began as Director of Corporate Communications, incorporating an ESG role in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she introduced Gleeds' “Future Fit” strategy, focusing on communication and support for colleagues and clients navigating uncertain times. Driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact, especially in guiding young people towards positive futures, Michelle led the launch of the Gleeds Foundation in 2023.
Among her numerous achievements, Michelle highlights her work with the UK Government on the "Reconstruction with Changes" Peru programme, presented at COP26. She takes pride in Gleeds being one of the first consultancies to achieve validated Net Zero targets under the new SBTi corporate framework. Michelle has travelled extensively for Gleeds and fosters collaboration and innovation across all of our operating countries.
