Valeriia Garkavenko is a Senior Works Specialist – Mechanical in our Ukraine team, bringing over 24 years of experience in engineering, project management, and HVAC supervision to the team. With a master’s degree in Heating and Gas Supply, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, she has dedicated her career to delivering technical excellence across diverse sectors.
Before joining Gleeds in 2017, Valeriia held key engineering positions in Ukraine’s construction and facility management industries. Notably, she served as General HVAC Supervisor at a large hotel in Kyiv, overseeing a vast array of systems - from chillers and air-handling units to energy-saving technologies. Her attention to detail and commitment to performance earned her the ‘Team Member of the Month’ award during her time there.
Valeriia’s portfolio at Gleeds includes a wide range of high-profile projects: the reconstruction of commercial centres impacted by the war, office fitouts for international tech clients, and major industrial developments such as the EUR 300 million manufacturing campus in Lviv. Whether working on logistics facilities, residential complexes, or technical due diligence assignments, Valeriia brings a combination of precision, dedication, and deep technical knowledge.
Fluent in Ukrainian, English, Russian, and Polish, Valeriia excels in international collaboration and complex stakeholder environments. She is known for her ability to bridge technical expertise with client-focused delivery.
Outside of work, Valeriia is passionate about innovation in engineering and is always seeking new ways to contribute to Ukraine’s rebuilding and modernisation. Her calm professionalism and hands-on leadership make her an invaluable member of the Ukraine team.
