Sheldon Atkinson is a Project Director, Quantity Surveyor MRICS, and Head of Visualise at Gleeds. He leads the implementation of Visualise, Gleeds’ digital reality capture solution, across the organisation’s global operations.
Aiming to enhance project delivery and safeguard clients' interests, and being with Gleeds for over 10 years, he blends his expertise in quantity surveying with a passion for digital innovation, playing a vital role in the digital team.
Starting his career at Gleeds after obtaining an MSc in Quantity Surveying, he has visited many of our key sites, gaining extensive experience in identifying inefficiencies that often lead to cost overruns and project delays. This experience, combined with traditional delivery methodologies, motivated the wider business to adopt reality capture technology to improve overall service delivery, resulting in Visualise.
Sheldon's. daily focus is on Visualise, conducting face-to-face and remote demonstrations, providing on-site training, and supporting the technology's adoption and implementation. He collaborates with staff to explore additional use cases for improving Gleeds’ core service delivery and mitigating project risks, this commitment has resulted in numerous projects being delivered on time and within budget. Alongside empowering his colleagues, Sheldon also seeks personal development opportunities, the completion of Gleeds 12-month Upskill project data analytics apprenticeship program being a perfect example.
