Location

Nottingham, United Kingdom

Sarah Brown is the People Director for our UK business. Committed to the success of our people, clients, and communities, she collaborates with the UK Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team on all people matters.

Sarah has a passion for working in partnership with people. With over 25 years of Human Resources experience, she is well-versed in everything from day-to-day people issues to complex strategy development.

Although new to the construction industry, Sarah has worked with Gleeds in various consultancy roles over the last decade and has long shared our Gleeds values. She is performance-led, while maintaining a sense of fun along the way, perfectly embodying our core value of 'professionalism with personality'.

Sarah is dedicated to creating opportunities for our people to thrive. By cultivating talent and promoting fairness, inclusion, and wellbeing, she plays a leading role in making Gleeds a space where our teams can grow and do their best work.

With a network spanning 19 offices and over 1,300 people, the UK presents an exciting challenge from a people perspective. Sarah brings her straightforward, collaborative approach to the UK Senior Leadership team as they work to promote excellence in internal operations and navigate challenges.

Whether problem solving at work or making jewellery in her spare time, Sarah strongly believes in the value of creativity and how it drives innovation and progress. If she hadn’t become an HR professional, she may have pursued a career in the creative arts herself.

I truly believe Gleeds is a place to be part of something bigger - having seen how the business has evolved over the past ten years and the focus on being a catalyst for change, it’s an exciting time to be joining. Our talented people deliver some of the UK’s most iconic projects, so looking after them and creating space for innovation is vital. By doing so, we can continue to make a difference in our communities for the better.
