Ross Carlow is Director for the Middle East. Joining in 2022, Ross brings with him over 20 years of experience on projects across the UK, Australia and the UAE. Much of that experience comes from finding innovative solutions for the most ambitious clients in the Middle East.
Ross’ multi-faceted role comprises of strategic development, leadership, and management. His ambition is to position Gleeds as the biggest driver of construction in the region. To achieve this, he is embedding quality and creativity, which manifests itself through financial performance, increased headcount, and exceeding client expectations.
His key motivator is creating an inclusive and open culture that fosters individual and collective growth. His team is hard-working and energetic, and collectively focuses on development. In particular, he sees coaching the next generation as a responsibility that will cement a successful future for Gleeds and our clients.
Witnessing Gleeds' flexibility, professionalism, and personality made his decision to join the team in the Middle East an easy one. He wanted to be play his part in delivering large-scale projects, in a place where passion and ambition are the driving forces.
I knew my own expectations matched the aspirations of Gleeds in terms of success and expansion, and I knew the Middle East was where I wanted to be: the epicentre of construction innovation and development.
His passion for mentoring the next generation endures outside of the office, coaching the children’s Dubai Irish football team. He also loves travelling to explore new places, spending time with his family, and is a keen podcast listener.
