Paul Dennison is the Head of Development at Gleeds, chairs our residential sector team and acts as the Framework Lead for our role on the Homes England Framework. Having spent over 45 years in the industry his career has spanned a range of sectors, roles and organisations, giving him exceptional insights in the needs for delivering development and infrastructure projects.

In his role, Paul collaborates closely with clients and professional advisors to transform objectives into viable, sustainable developments that positively impact their built environment users and communities. His daily responsibilities also include managing his team and providing trusted consultancy advice to clients with a focus on short term actions and long-term solutions that meet client goals.

Driven by the challenge of enabling successful project delivery, Paul’s career has evolved from construction through property development and consultancy with a particular focus on regeneration and development of mixed-use place-led projects. His introduction to Gleeds came through collaborative project relationships leading him to join the organisation in 2013. The familial approach to teamwork and development opportunities at Gleeds particularly resonates with Paul, emphasising a supportive and nurturing environment within Gleeds. Paul advises anyone new joining the organisation to avoid self-imposed limitations and to embrace the potential of numerous opportunities on offer in a career at Gleeds.

Some of his proudest achievements at Gleeds include making complex projects deliverable through achieving viable, deliverable planning consents. Over the years this has been in the form of shopping centres, residential-led mixed-use, brownfield regeneration and leisure based developments. Outside of work, Paul enjoys a wide range of sports, reading, and spending quality time with his family. If he hadn’t pursued his current career path, he imagines he may well have become an Urban Designer.
