Lucinda Seagrave is the Head of Utilities and Sustainability within Gleeds’ UK infrastructure team. She has extensive experience in managing the delivery of utilities projects and programmes, including water, gas, electricity, communications, and renewables.
Lucinda's career spans various sectors, from building, commercial, industrial, food, to education. Her enthusiasm for infrastructure stems from its fast-paced nature and critical importance, highlighting utilities as indispensable and constantly evolving.
At Gleeds, Lucinda handles everything from client commissions and bids to internal finance and recruitment, ensuring seamless coordination across various projects. Based in the Cambridge office, her days reflect her commitment to delivering outstanding results. She is motivated by the impact of her work, finding fulfilment in knowing that the projects she leads directly benefit people and communities, providing essential services such as water and electricity.
Lucinda has had the opportunity to work with some exceptional clients managing high priority projects across the UK, however one of her most noteworthy achievements at Gleeds is the rapid and sustained expansion of our infrastructure division. She has played a crucial role in diversifying the team and enhancing their capabilities, ensuring that Gleeds remains at the forefront of the industry. Her focus on bringing in impressive talent has contributed to the innovative solutions the organisation offers to clients, and since joining Gleeds in 2021, the team has grown from 24 to over 150 under her leadership.
Her advice to new joiners at Gleeds emphasises the importance of networking and building strong professional relationships within the company. She believes that understanding roles and responsibilities, whilst fostering meaningful connections, can significantly aid in navigating complex projects and improving productivity.
Outside of work, Lucinda enjoys an active lifestyle, spending time with her family, cooking, skiing, and going on walks.
