Regional Director, South West and Wales

Location

Cardiff, Wales

Justin Moore is Regional Director for the South West and Wales region at Gleeds, where he leads the Cardiff, Bristol and Exeter offices with responsibility for driving growth, operational performance and delivery in line with the business plan and Gleeds’ vision and values. He works across all sectors, specialising in project management and cost management, with a focus on supporting clients to deliver complex projects and portfolios successfully.

Based in Cardiff and Bristol and travelling across the wider region, Justin’s role is varied and includes supporting senior leaders operationally, understanding market conditions, contributing to and leading tenders, meeting clients and other consultants, managing risk, developing growth strategies and overseeing a regional team of over 100 staff. With a background in engineering and a strong problem-solving mindset, he has spent his career in the built environment across the south west and is motivated by winning high-quality work, creating a positive working environment aligned to Gleeds values, supporting clients’ ambitions through practical solutions, seeing people progress in their careers and building confidence and success in the region. He was drawn to Gleeds by its vision, culture and behaviours, as well as the respect and trust he already had for senior people within the region, and he particularly values “excellence with humility” alongside a people-focused approach and building strong relationships. His advice to new joiners is to get involved, enjoy the work and not hesitate to ask questions, as the culture is supportive and collaborative with people willing to help and guide each other across a wide range of exciting projects. His proudest achievement at Gleeds is becoming Regional Director for the South West and Wales region.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys family life, with his wife working as a primary school teacher in Cardiff, his son working as a project manager in Gleeds and his daughter in her final year studying architecture in Manchester. He also enjoys spending time outdoors walking, gardening and running after his cocker spaniels, as well as travelling and swimming in the sea whenever he can. If he had not pursued a career in the built environment, he feels he would likely have followed something outdoors-related or potentially law, reflecting his continued interest in contract management and problem-solving.
