Felix van Huet is head of our Düsseldorf office and the public sector at Gleeds in Germany. Responsible for the business at North Rhine-Westphalia, he is a key leader in driving Gleeds’ growth across both the public and private sectors.
Based in our Düsseldorf office, Felix is shaping the firm’s national presence from the ground up, supporting cities, ministries, and developers while bridging the gap to private clients in dynamic industries such as logistics and data centres.
Felix’s proudest achievement is building a strong, capable team that delivers real value. Passionate about shaping meaningful change, he connects strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, helping clients realise complex, socially impactful infrastructure projects. He is motivated by the economic, social, and human impact of his work, guided by integrity, accountability, and a commitment to results.
What drew Felix to Gleeds was the unique blend of international consulting standards with the freedom to act entrepreneurially. This combination allows him to take the initiative, contribute ideas, and lead with autonomy, all values he holds in high regard. For Felix, team spirit at Gleeds is more than a buzzword; it’s a genuine, powerful network that has kept him inspired since day one.
Felix is energised by the contrasting challenges of public and private sector work. He thrives on combining regulatory insight with commercial agility and innovation. While the public sector demands solution-focused consultants who understand policy and regulation, the private sector prioritises speed, cost-efficiency, and innovation. Felix values the opportunity to shift perspectives while building trust, which both sectors place in Gleeds.
The advice that Felix would give someone who was joining Gleeds would be:
You should contribute your ideas and don’t be afraid to take responsibility. Gleeds rewards curiosity, teamwork and a willingness to grow.
Outside of Felix’s busy schedule, he enjoys finding ways to relax. Whether this be hiking, cooking, or just enjoying a quiet evening at home. Socially, Felix is a member of a local sports club where he holds a number of titles.
If he wasn't at Gleeds, Felix would have studied law or political science and worked in the local government, or in the media world.
