As the Head of the Building Surveying department in Madrid, Spain, Emilio manages a team that provides services such as technical due diligence, technical monitoring, Environmental and ESG analyses.

His role involves overseeing his teams, solving problems, client related work and acquiring new projects. Most of Emilio’s day is spent in the office, where he serves as the main point of contact for his team. His focus is on organising the team’s workflow and ensuring that everything runs efficiently. Challenges and problem-solving are what keep Emilio motivated.

Starting his career as an engineer and transitioning into a management role has given him a unique perspective. He thrives on making his team work efficiently, seeing it as a system where every part is organised and functioning flawlessly. With a background in engineering, Emilio has always been drawn to the technical aspects of the industry. He enjoys working with data, performing calculations and engaging in technical work, making this industry a perfect fit for him. It was an easy decision for Emilio to join Gleeds, as he was eager to work for an international company with access to a vast amount of data, projects and global connections.

Gleeds has good corporate values and offers great opportunities to gain experience across different sectors and services. It's an excellent place to learn.

He encourages newcomers to take advantage of these opportunities and embrace the learning experiences available. For Emilio, staying with Gleeds through financial crises and contributing to the team’s success globally is a significant accomplishment.

In his free time, Emilio enjoys spending time with his family, running and swimming. These activities help him stay balanced and energised. If he weren’t in his current line of work, Emilio believes he would still be in a field that involves problem-solving and understanding people. His passion for engineering and his ability to tackle challenges are core to his professional identity.
