Connor Blazys is an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within Gleeds’ energy sector. Connor plays a vital role as part of the team on the Mogas project at Essar, overseeing payment applications, audits, and on-site measurements for multiple contractors.
Alongside managing contract administration, generating take-offs from civil drawings and raising payment certificates, he also ensures monthly cost savings and prepares Bills of Quantities for civil work per CESMM4 standards.
Career development is a pivotal driver for Connor, who is enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact in the energy sector. He values the opportunities to build and nurture relationships both within Gleeds and industry wide. Drawn to the energy sector by its vast size and growth potential, Connor saw it as an opportunity to specialise and learn from seasoned industry experts while learning from working on large-scale, complex projects. The chance to work on diverse projects and gain extensive knowledge across various professional areas, coupled with business support for his development on the RICS pathway, solidified his decision to join Gleeds.
Connor is committed to maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships by consistently adhering to Gleeds’ core values. His proudest achievement at Gleeds to date is earning a first class bachelor’s degree through the apprenticeship programme, which he completed alongside gaining valuable work experience. Outside of work, Connor enjoys playing football, going to the gym, and socialising with friends. He strives to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
