Christoph Krueger

Role

Head of the Berlin office

Location

Berlin, Germany

As Head of the Gleeds Berlin office, Christoph Krueger has been key to building and growing Gleeds' success in Germany. Since he led the opening of the Berlin office in 2018, Christoph has been responsible for managing his sizeable team, but also remains actively engaged in project work.

His role involves client interactions and new business acquisition, as well as being part of the Gleeds Management Board in Germany. His work centres around ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business in Germany. His day often includes project work, calls, and travelling to various sites and meetings. Christoph finds motivation in working on exciting projects, meeting diverse individuals, and leading the way on large-scale construction projects. The positive atmosphere within the Gleeds team is also a significant source of inspiration for him.

Christoph enjoys working in Berlin due to its exciting and ever-changing atmosphere. Although he lives outside the city, he commutes daily by train, enjoying the contrast between the cosmopolitan energy of Berlin and the more suburban environment of his hometown. His journey with Gleeds began through a fortunate connection, where he was introduced to the opportunity to work on a project with German Railways in Berlin.

I admire the opportunity to work independently and self-organised, the international aspect of the business, and the family-like atmosphere within the company.

His advice to new joiners at Gleeds is to be open-minded, proactive and a team player. He emphasises the importance of being flexible and finding solutions independently before seeking assistance.

Christoph's proudest achievement at Gleeds is the establishment and growth of the Berlin office, which continues to thrive under his leadership. Outside of work, Christoph enjoys playing golf, indulging in good food, spending time with family, travelling and meeting with friends. If he hadn’t pursued a career in the construction industry, he envisions himself as a captain on a cruise ship, navigating the open seas.
