Alex ensures that clients and Gleeds people alike experience a construction consultancy whose voice is clear, consistent, and aligned with their needs. She leads Gleeds’ global marcomms strategy, managing the brand and guiding a talented team to showcase how the company’s expertise delivers value across the built environment.

With varied experience right across the sector, Alex understands that purposeful communication is not just about reputation, it’s about giving you confidence. Her and her team's work helps Gleeds and our clients see the full picture of Gleeds’ offer, whether through thought leadership that shapes the market, campaigns that highlight and share innovation, or stakeholder engagement that brings clarity to complex projects.

For Gleeds' clients, this means a partner whose communications are built on integrity, inclusivity, and excellence. Alex collaborates closely with leadership teams worldwide to ensure the company’s strategic ambitions are matched by a client-facing narrative that is trusted, responsive, and future-focused. Outside of Gleeds, as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Construction Industry Group, she also helps ensure that the profession as a whole is advancing in ways that benefit those commissioning and delivering projects.

Alex is particularly driven by the potential of construction to shape communities. By ensuring Gleeds’ story blends heritage with innovation, she supports the business in engaging stakeholders, building credibility, and demonstrating impact. Of the company’s values, “professionalism with personality” resonates most with her because it is this principle that underpins the trust and transparency clients expect.

Her message to those working with and within Gleeds:

Be curious, be collaborative, and be bold, because that’s how we achieve the outcomes that really matter for the communities we serve.

Outside of work, Alex is a mum to three young children, Chair of Governors at a local school, and someone who relishes discovering new places.
