Brian McArdle is Chief Operating Officer at Gleeds, heading up the firm’s global business operations and playing a central role in delivering consistent, high-quality performance across the organisation.
Brian has long had a passion for delivering positive outcomes for our clients and communities and has led some of our most transformative projects and programmes across several sectors, including regeneration, healthcare, infrastructure and commercial property. His commitment to driving continued progress within the built environment is strongly aligned with Gleeds’ purpose.
As COO, Brian oversees the operational performance of the business across Gleeds’ international network, ensuring that our people, systems and processes are aligned to support sustainable growth. He works closely with regional and sector leaders to drive operational excellence, strengthen internal capability, support regional growth and build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Brian takes a strong interest in the development of Gleeds’ teams globally, ensuring that colleagues’ ambitions and career paths are supported wherever they are in the business. He is motivated by keeping Gleeds at the forefront of the construction industry, while ensuring the organisation reflects the society and communities it serves.
Having joined Gleeds in 2007 as a Senior Project Manager in the Manchester office, Brian was attracted to the firm by its industry-leading reputation and global presence. He strongly believes in Gleeds’ core value of professionalism with personality, and in cultivating a culture of creativity that encourages progress and innovation.
Having spent a significant portion of his career at Gleeds, Brian is passionate about further building on the organisations reputation as an industry leader within the built environment. With a focus on the business acting as a catalyst for positive change, it is vital to him that Gleeds is embedded within its communities and regions worldwide, leaving a positive legacy on every project and programme it is appointed to.
