Brian McArdle is the Managing Director for Gleeds’ UK business, leading a team of over 1,300 people across the UK and Ireland.

Brian has long had a passion for delivering positive outcomes for our clients and communities and has led some of our most transformative projects and programmes across several sectors including regeneration, healthcare, infrastructure and commercial property. His enthusiasm for driving continued progress within the built environment is strongly aligned with Gleeds’ purpose.

With an extensive network spanning 19 offices, the UK is responsible for a significant portion of the business’s success. Brian plays a leading role in driving the UK’s business strategy, as well as promoting excellence in internal operations, regional growth, recruitment and building relationships with new and existing clients.

Brian takes a strong interest in the development of Gleeds’ teams, and making sure colleagues’ ambitions and career paths can be supported. He is motivated by keeping Gleeds at the forefront of the construction industry, and reflective of society as a whole.

Having joined Gleeds in 2007 as a Senior Project Manager in the Manchester office, Brian was attracted to the business by its industry-leading reputation and global presence. Having spent a significant portion of my career at Gleeds, I’m passionate about further building on our reputation as industry leaders within the built environment industry. With a focus on our business being a catalyst for change, it’s vital to me that Gleeds is fully embedded within our communities and regions, and that we’re truly leaving a positive legacy on every project and programme we’re appointed on.
