We are proud to share the latest milestone in our ongoing collaboration as the UK Delivery Team (UKDT) under the UK-Peru Government-to-Government (G2G) agreement. Our focus on delivering resilient, sustainable infrastructure in Peru has never been stronger.
Since 2020, Gleeds has been at the forefront of efforts to rebuild critical public facilities across the regions of Peru most affected by the devastating El Niño events of 2017. Working alongside our partners at Mace and Arup, we’ve brought our expertise in project management, digital delivery tools, and collaborative contracts to work on an ambitious programme that includes the construction of 74 schools, 18 healthcare facilities, and extensive flood defences. The new facilities, built to international standards, are already making a difference, with schools and health centres opening their doors and flood defences beginning to offer protection to vulnerable communities.
Moreover, the UKDT partnership is about building capacity within Peru itself. Over the past years, we’ve worked closely with local officials, contractors, and communities, sharing knowledge, tools, and best practices that will have a lasting impact. We remain committed to supporting Peru in its journey towards a safer, more sustainable future.
