As Global Head of Infrastructure at Gleeds, Dean manages strategic engagements across the transportation, utilities, net zero, and complex social infrastructure markets worldwide.
His role involves crafting and executing strategies that align with the sector's evolving demands, working closely with regional sector leads and operational teams to secure and deliver major infrastructure projects. His typical day includes collaborating with teams as well as maintaining regular communication with our global clients.
At the core of his motivation is his connection with people. This ranges from the teams he leads and the clients he works with, to the communities whose lives are transformed through the infrastructure projects we undertake. It's this human-centric approach that not only drives him but also significantly impacts the sectors and communities he serves.
Following a short break, Dean returned to Gleeds in 2020 and seized the opportunity to develop a strategy and assemble a team poised to extend Gleeds' core services across global markets. His alignment with the company's ethos of 'Professionalism with personality' highlights his belief in combining leading-edge services with a personal touch, embodying the unique spirit of Gleeds.
Dean's career has been deeply rooted in the Global Energy and Infrastructure sectors, drawn by the transformative impact of large-scale programmes on local communities. His fascination with the complexity of these projects and their extensive network of government, programme, and stakeholders fuels his passion for making a difference.
I’m most proud of the impact of our work in Northern Peru, post the 2017 El Niño event, which is testament to the tangible difference our projects make in people's lives.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dean cherishes family time, enjoys travelling, and is an avid cricket and Formula 1 enthusiast. Had life taken a different turn, Dean imagines he could have been a paramedic, echoing his commitment to making a meaningful impact wherever he goes.
