Sustainability
'Profit through Sustainability'
Gleeds believes Sustainability can play a major part in business success and those prepared to address the issues are likely to profit from it. This is why Gleeds aims to implement sustainable solutions in all areas of our organisation: from the main board down, we guide and direct our managers throughout the business and embrace sustainability. Gleeds are members of the UK Green Building Society (UKGBC) and are proud to work in partnership with the RIBA to counter climate change through education.
Grey to Green
Gleeds is currently implementing a Grey to Green scheme across all UK offices. The scheme encourages staff members to help make the workplace more sustainable through many areas of behavioural change. The programme is promoted by ‘Environmental Champions’ in the workplace who encourage staff to work together and think of ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
‘Surveying Sustainability’
Gleeds has contributed to a keynote sustainability report, published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).‘Surveying sustainability: a short guide for the property professional’ Co-authored by Gleeds’ Head of Sustainability Jerry Percy, explores the implications of sustainability by providing clarification of the subject, assisting in the formulation of appropriate responses to the changing duties of Chartered Surveyors.
